They are losing me...

You guys know how much I love Heroes. Next to Lost, it is the one show I will not miss.

But I may stop watching it.

I just don't get it any more. I can't stand this jump forward 4 years and then back to present day crap. Peter is a now two "people" but one got killed - and he used to be the good guy but now he is the baddie.

Claire has brown hair and shooting a gun like a pro. And who's the flunky hanging with her that gets stronger around fear? What? That's not a "power"!

Her dad is president and married to one of the triplets that was created by someone for some reason and she has powers to freeze people. But that is four years from now... OH and he gets killed because his brother takes the "hunger" from Sylar. But if good/bad Peter goes back he can fix it?

And Sylar explodes a whole town, but if they "GO BACK" four years it can change?!! And he's a dad to Noah? Who's the mom?

Parkman is married to a young, hot blonde and they have a kid... plus he still has Molly? For real?

Suresh is some blob now - excuse me - in four years.

I'm about ready to give up. I'll give it one or two more shows, but if it doesn't start to make sense I may just have to stop all together. I'm so confused and I. Don't. Like. It.

Premiere

My second favorite show premiered last night... Heroes.

Goodness gracious was it awesome, but I have sooooo many questions.

1. What's up with Mama Patrelli? She's Sylar's mom? Huh?
2. Soooo Sylar doesn't eat the brains... he.... what? Pushes a button and their powers absorb thru his fingers? Explain please...
3. I hate, hate, hate time travel stuff. I get so confused. And this whole butterfly affect is hurting my head.
4. Two Peters? TWO? Who is the baddie with the scar?
5. Mohinder's skin is coming off in chunks? WHA????
6. Who is the most boring character on TV right now? Maya... why is she still around? YAWN She is the Paulo of Heroes (Losties will know what I mean)
7. Linderman is a ghost? Cool.
8. Jessica/Niki lost her badass power and now her name is Tracey and she can freeze people? WHA???? (but she's still a slut! the more things change...)
9. Claire can't die? Her real mom has come to live with them? Me thinks that is going to be a HUGE problem.
10. Ando turns "bad" -- doubt it. He's too freakin' cute.
11. I think Sylar is going to wind up being a good guy some how... if that is a possiblity at all. He is going to join forces with others to bring down the escaped Level 5 contingent.

So many more, but can't think of them all right now.

BTW: this dude is now on my Top 5. Damn... he's so awesome. I've always loved the bad boys.

Last night's scene where he got reeeeaaalll close to Claire and whispered "Claire... that's disgusting" left me in a puddle on the floor. That voice... whispering... OMG...

Lost Season 4 Finale

After two straight hours of OMG, WTF, WTH, and Huh???, I can honestly say that was the best Lost show EVAH!!!

So much happened and so many questions were answered... and yet they left us, once again, will HUGE questions for next season. Let me see if I can remember some of the things that caught my attention:

Warning!! Spoilers ahead

• Sawyer and no shirt... umm... don't jeans get heavy in water, too? Whenever he found the time to strip off that shirt during his swim he could have removed the pants, too. Just sayin.
• Sun was killin' me in the helicopter. Her anquish was insane.
• but I don't think Jin is dead... he can't be
• Sayid rocks. When he was kickin' Keamy's a$$ I was almost screaming outloud. One of my friends puts it so eloquently -- Sayid is the Iatollah of BadAssery!!!
• One man can move an island. I guess he moved it to some desert somewhere because he had that same jacket on a couple of episodes ago.
• Michael was finally released from his "cannot die" syndrome by Christian? Who IS that man?
• The dream sequence with Claire -- who is the "he" that can't come back? We want to believe it is Aaron, but could it be Jack she is talking about?
• Hurley playing chess with Mr. Ecko... do you think that is real? Could it be possible?
• What was up with the tape suddenly rewinding? And was it playing through when Keamy walked in?
• I cried when Des and Penny got together. Bet that boat was rockin' till sunrise!!! But why didn't he SHAVE?
• How did Locke get off the island? Is it because of its new location or is it because he is now the leader of the Others? Does that leader get some sort of special priviledge?
• Who else got off the island that Sun suggested? Was she talking about Des and Lapidus?
• What happened to the people in the zodiac that was heading back to the tanker before it blew up?
• Charlotte was born on the island? Is that what she was suggesting? If so, how did THAT happen?
• Is Sun turing into a bad girl now? I mean she is wanting to team up with Widmore...
• Who is the second person Sun blames for Jin's death? Jack thinks it is him, but could it be Kate, or Lapidus, or Des? They all made her stay on the helicopter
• Did I mention Sawyer without his shirt on? And smiling with those dimples. GAH!
• OK -- riddle me this batman... the O6 story is that they were stranded on an island for three months. Suddenly they are seen coming ashore on another island in a raft. I would think a big question would be if they had the raft for three months why didn't they use it before? Was it because of Kate "having the baby"? Where did that raft come from?
• What did Sawyer whisper to Kate?
• How did "Jeremy Bantham" die?!!
• Loved who was in the casket, but why... and how...
• Locked blames Jack for all the "bad things" that happened after they left the island. Wonder what all that means.
• Rose was PI$$ED at ghost hunter dude for eating the peanuts. What was that all about?
• And for the funny -- did anyone else catch the girl's thong? She was the second group getting into the raft... she bent over and there, above her khaki britches, was a purple thong "whale tale". I bet she is one embarrassed chick... unless it means something...

That's all I can do for now. So much happened in the final hour or so I thought my head would explode. That was AWESOME! I'm ready for next season to begin already... and when will that happen? Are they going to make us wait until Jan/Feb again? Booo!!!

But I still got to watch

Hey all!

I'm in Columbia, SC waiting to head to the airport to come home. It has been a very productive trip, but I'm ready to sleep in my own bed.

And head to LA on Monday.

I did get to watch Lost last night. I made sure I was back in the hotel and hopped up on coffee. So here are my thoughts... Spoilers ahead.

• What a brutal murder! I was completely shocked that it happened -- but not nearly as much as Ben.
• Guess we know how and why Ben and Sayid are working together...
• Does the timeline work? Sayid searched for his wife for 8 years... it was 2005 when the funeral happened...
  
• How did they meet again? How did she die? I know she was murdered, but how...
• I think Desmond may have something to say about Ben killing Penny. But with Dez still on the island...where does that put Penny?
• How cute was big ol' Hurley holding sweet little Aaron?
• And I was shocked at how protective Sawyer was of Hurley! Guess the big, tough guy has a soft heart after all.
• Smokey is BACK! And what a bad ass!!!
• Where did Ben go to release him? He went into the secret room within the secret room and came back all dirty.
  
• Could he have Smokey penned someplace? But how? It is SMOKE!!!
• Loved, loved, loved the look on Sawyer's face when Ben grabbed the gun from the piano bench. I laughed out loud...
• But of course I love, love, love Sawyer's face anytime...
• So Jack's appendix bursts next week... we know he doesn't die, but what is going to happen? Will Juliette take over as leader? Will she operate on him?
• How much do you LOVE Bernard for knowing morse code. I wanted to yell "Gotcha!!!"

Alright... that's all I've got for now. I have the local news on the tv and the weather guy is doing the Chicken Dance.... I kid you not.

I need to go home. Now.

I decided to type my thoughts on Lost during the commercials. Here's what I got so far...

• Seeing Libby was a T.R.I.P!!! Did NOT expect that to happen
• So we have a new location - the Temple. That answers where all the "others" and the kids are
• I wonder why Ben didn't tell anyone else about the Temple?
• Sawyer looks good all cleaned up - but then again he looks good dirty, wet, dry, in a paper sack...
  
• Tom IS gay!!! I laughed out loud at that... so much speculation about that and it wound up being true!
  
• I love how they answered the questions about why and how the fake plane got to the bottom of the ocean. Pretty creepy seeing all the open graves. Widmore is one evil dude!
  
• Did Minkowski try to escape the freighter by using that tiny, rubber lifeboat? Is that how he got sick?
• It was good seeing Walt again
• When Michael said he was on the boat "to die" did anyone else think "good"? I did. Can't stand the guy although I do feel sorry for him. He does love Walt -- he just makes stupid decisions!
  
• How can the island stop someone from offing themselves? Will he never die or will it happen when he redeems himself?
• Didn't Hurley kill Tom with the van? So did he come back to life as well? Did this happen after that incident?
• I don't remember Jin giving Michael a watch... when did that happen?
• That was a nasty trick with the explosives. Not yet my a$$! I would have been soooo mad!!!
• Didn't Ben look surprised that Michael tried to activate the bomb? Guess he underestimated the severity of Michael's guilt/depression!
  
• Love that Sayid turned Michael in. I was waiting on the captain to say "I know" but that didn't happen. Think Michael will get his wish now?
• Rouseau and Carl dead?!! Holy crap -- didn't see that coming. Guess what Ben wants, Ben gets... he didn't like Alex falling in love with her real mom and her boyfriend so he had them offed. I just wonder who it really was doing that -- and how did Ben tell them they were coming? Did he get in touch with the others after he saw Hurley and Sawyer (and said "See you at dinner?") He is soooo evil!!
  
• Which "bad" guy is worse? Widmore or Ben??? Hmmmmm?
  

I am so sad this is the last episode until April 24! It was hard enough waiting until the season started and now we have to take a month long break AGAIN!!! GAH! But the episode looks freakin' awesome! According to SpoilerFix it is Sayid/Ben-centric - cool!

Lost and bones

I couldn't concentrate too much on Lost last night. Between the delivery of our bedroom furniture, transferring the clothes from the old drawers to the new, and J-man breaking his collar bone* it was kind of hard to sit down and watch tv.

But I did... I may have missed a thing or two but here are my thoughts...

• Who the heck is the captain of the boat? I didn't catch his name... he was introduced about the same time Carl and J-man got home from the hospital.
• And where do they keep getting these hot men from? That captain was something else... I want to be on THAT boat!!!
• Was Jin's story a flashback and Sun's a flash forward? Jin said he had only been married two months and he was that angry, killer type dude...
  
• The end!!! OMG!!! I was in tears!
• What was Hurley doing in Korea (or wherever they are from)? Did he come JUST to say goodbye to Jin? Was this before he went to the wacky shack?
• Does that mean Jin wasn't a part of O6? Is there someone else?
• I think the doc that delivered the baby is from Dharma... he said something about the medicine causing birth defects. Could that be something she got on the island? Was he there to study the baby since it was conceived on the island?
• What did they say about Ben and why they wanted him so bad? That part is really fuzzy.
• Juliette pi$$ed me off! I was yelling "YOU BEEOTCH!" when she let the cat out of the bag.
• Sun held it together a lot better than I would have. I wouldn't have stopped at the slap! Juliette would have been dealing with a whole heck of a lot more cuts and bruises.
  
• Michael -- saw that one coming. BUT does he know who he is? He didn't look like he recognized Sayid and Des -- and yet they pretended they didn't recognize him either.
• I can't stand Michael so I hope they don't keep him on for very long.
• Jumping off the boat with chains wrapped around your body? What a way to go! Was she the same one that was reading the book upside down? I didn't catch any of that conversation.
• Who blew their brains out in that one room? That was nasty!!!

Bug had a make-up soccer game last night. As Carl and I watched the game, J-man was hanging out with a teammate (G) and another friend (Alex). I happened to look over at the boys just as G tackled J-man to the ground. I'm not talking a little shove either. J-man was pounded into the ground.

J-man got up with a grimace on his face and walked over to us. G was tagging along apologizing. J-man sat with us and was trying so hard not to cry. He just kept saying his shoulder hurt and he couldn't move his arm. Carl took him to the bathroom to look at it and couldn't find anything wrong. I kept asking him if he wanted us to take him to the hospital but he kept saying no. I gave him some Tylenol and told him to move his shoulder around -- thinking it was just a cramped muscle or something.

Finally, it got too chilly to sit on the sidelines so J-man and I went to sit in the car. Once there, he started crying and said "Please take me to the hospital. I can't take it anymore." We got Carl to the car, I took them home and they took off to the ER. I went back to the fields to watch the last of Bug's game and get her home.

Needless to say... his collar bone is broken. Carl said it looks like two parallel lines laying on top of one another. He is in a brace and can't move his arm for the next 7 days. To top it all off, it is his left side - and he is left handed! School work and homework are going to be a challenge.

Oh well. We'll get through this to. I can't believe how tough the kid is! I told him to remember how "easy" this was because he will probably have the same level of soreness after his surgery. He said "No problem."

Carl did tell me something funny J-man said... they were heading to the hospital and Carl said "I've always thought that if you couldn't move it that meant it was broken. So I don't think you've broken anything." J-mans response? "No offense, dad, but I want a doctor's opinion. Last time I checked you weren't a doctor!"

Touche, smartass.

Des' night

I don't really like time travel shows but last night's Lost was awesome. The whole jumping back and forth in time was crazy and, at times, very confusing... but I loved it. Here are some thoughts:

• A Black Rock painting and journal that was purchased by Mr. Widmore? Why did he want it? And what secrets could it hold about the island?
• Poor Eloise
• Why did Des follow Mr. Widmore into the bathroom? And then to watch him pee? Ewwww... Was that another way of Widmore showing his superiority over Des?
• And what was up with leaving the water running? Do they not realize there is a water shortage? (oh... sorry... that is just here in the South)
• Why did he give Des the address to Penny's new place? Guess his plan backfired about keeping them apart!
• Is Faraday the one who wrote in the journal about Desmond being their "constant"? If so, does he have the same ability? Is that why he and the red head were practicing guessing games with the cards last week?
• Des looked damn good in uniform and with short hair!
• Who are these guys on the boat and who are they working for. They all seem so sinister.
• Could someone that we met last night be the mole for Ben? I'm willing to bet it is the doctor, but that is the obvious choice, huh?
• Loved the scene with Des and Penny on the phone. I was in tears! They will find one another again.
• There were a lot of numbers in this episode... I'll be curious to see what folks come up with... you know they have some sort of meaning. (they always do)
• I don't remember the creepy guy's name that was in the sick bay. Did he say he was on a ferris wheel? Does that have any significance?

All in all it was a good episode. I don't know what impact it has on the rest of the story except that now Penny knows Des is alive and will come find him. BTW - how surreal was it to see a Christmas tree after watching these guys on a hot island all this time. It was kind of a jolt...

And this week on Lost

I saw the Aaron thing coming a mile away (plus it helps to read spoilers the day before the show airs - Lostpedia rocks my socks!!!)

Sooooo...

• Why did Locke have blood on his hands? He claims he was killing a chicken. Where did he get it? Frozen chicken doesn't BLEED.
• The hand grenade in the mouth was brilliant but so cruel. My jaw hurts just thinking about it.
• Loved Hurley's line "You Scooby-Doo'd me, didn't you?" He is so freakin' cute.
• I don't see how Kate could turn Sawyer down... know what I mean?
• Ben and Locke hhhaaaatttteee each other and I love the scenes when they are together.
• So where is Claire? My theory is that somehow she didn't make it off the island... I do know (thanks to Lostpedia) that she and Jack find out they are bro/sis... could he not want to see Aaron because of that? Is it too painful to remember his sister when he gazes upon the cherub better known as Aaron? (sarcasm folks)
• Eight survivors? Did he say that to throw people off or were there 8 that came back... could Sun and Jin be the other two but they are back in Korea and not the U.S.?
• Sawyer looked FIIINE in that bed... why did Kate turn him down? (Oh, I asked that already didn't I?)
• When Sawyer said "and this is my roommate" I could have sworn Kate called Hurley "Ernie" as in Bert and Ernie. Did anyone else hear this or was it just me?
• $3.2 million dollars? What' s up with the .2? Why not go straight for the 4 M or more?
• How does Miles know Ben has that kind of money? Who is this mysterious Ben they keep showing on this here TV show?

I'm sure I have overlooked a few things... feel free to comment and give me your thoughts. For now I'm just going to think about Sawyer. I wouldn't kick him out of bed unless he wanted to do it on the floor -- that is fo sho.

Asleep at the TV

I'm not feeling very well so I took a Tylenol Sinus nighttime at 9:30 last night. I thought I would be able to stay awake through all of Lost. Didn't happen. Don't remember much of it at all. Guess I'll be watching it on ABC.com this evening.

What I did get was:

• Holy cow! Sayid is an assassin?!!
• He is sooo hot with straight hair
• And Ben was his doctor? Does that mean Ben is part of the Oceanic 6, too?
• Is Ben his "boss"?
• What was up with the girlfriend? Could her boss be Mr. Widemore?
• Who was the dude Sayid shot on the golf course?
• I want to be mad at Hurley for tricking Kate, Sayid and the other dude, but he is just too darn cute.
• Why did Sayid give his girlfriend Naomi's bracelet? Does that have any meaning?
• Where did the 31 minutes go in regards to the rockey thingy landing on the island?

I guess I saw more than I thought I did, but it is all so fuzzy. Can you give me any more details?

Lost in review

It was like being at a family reunion. I wanted to hug everyone and give them some fried chicken, but they all had things to deal with. Like arguing and being rescued and doing cannonballs.

Here are some of my thoughts:

• Death looks good on Charlie! When he came to Hurley wearing sunglasses, I thought I would fall out of my chair. Who'd a thunk you would see him again? I knew he would have to wrap things up, but wow...


• How FREAKY was that house? and WHO was in there with Jacob? Was that Locke? I need to see a screen cap of the face that popped up just to see if it was his beautiful baby blue...


• Speaking of Locke - how awesome is he? Love him


• So when Jack visited Hurley in the asylum it was before he went over the deep end, huh? He said he was thinking about growing a beard... and he looked damn good in that tie...


• What was the "did you tell" comment all about? Hmmmm?


• What made Hurely change his mind to leave the island?


• Who does he have to help? Was Charlie telling him to go back to the island or help the other Oceanic 6?


• We know who three of the Oceanic 6 are: Jack, Kate, and Hurley. Who are the other three? Bernard and Rose? Was one of them in the casket at the funeral? I have a feeling it wasn't them... call me skeptical but if Hurley can change his mind so could anyone else out there.


• How on earth did whats-her-face get away from the Losties, make a dead-end trail and then head BACK into the woods to get further away? Only to die after making the final call? All with a deep-a$$ knife wound in her back. She was a hearty soul, no?


• Hurley broke my heart when he told Claire about Charlie. I thought I was going to cry -- I DID tear up a little.


• Who was the dude that visited Hurley? Was he government? Part of the Dharma initiative? Part of Penny's bunch?


• Didn't he look at lot like Mr. Ecko's brother?

That is all I've got for now. Heading off to Pop Candy to read their discussion threads... if anything else pops up, I'll put it in comments.

I didn't get to see the Oceanic commerical during Eli Stone... I recorded the show (because I want to see it... NOT because of the commerical. I'm not THAT big of a geek... right) so I can watch it tonight. Just curious about what that was all about.
