Gossip from the 'hood

There have been several exciting incidents around Pug Manor the past couple of weeks. Luckily, none of them involve our household, but since I'm the "Go to Girl" I thought I would share them with you.
  1. One of the families in our neighborhood moved from a neighboring county. They left because they were being harassed. I don't know who or why... they just had to get out of their location and make a new start. WELL -- they have only lived in this house a few months. The other night the lady of the house received a phone call saying "Why don't you open those blinds and show me what ya got!" She didn't recognize the voice. Can you imagine moving from one harassment situation only to wind up with a new one? We are hoping it was a one-time incident...

  2. There is a family one street over that is made up of a mom, dad, and high-school age girl. The girl is as cute as a button. Blonde hair, petite, and drives a little white car. She is adorable. WELL -- she was coming home from the mall the other night and noticed a car following her. She didn't think much about it until they followed her into the neighborhood. She started getting worried... especially when she got out of her car and they pulled. in. her. driveway! She ran in the house and yelled to her dad that these guys had followed her home. The three guys got out of the car and walked up to the front door! They rang the doorbell and then saw Daddy standing there with a shotgun. They promptly left. Now to ME, that is scary!

  3. Remember the bearded lady? WELL -- she and her hubby have split! Carl caught them the other night screaming at one another in the driveway. He said it wasn't pretty at all. She just found out he is with someone else. I feel sorry for her. I really do. She is SO sweet and I hate it when marriages go bad.

A sidenote to this story... a couple of weeks ago Carl was driving through the city and saw BL's hubby in his car. No big deal right? There was a young girl in the car with him -- Carl said she looked, maybe, college age. When he realized who Carl was, he put his hand on the back of the girl's head and SHOVED her down in the seat! He didn't want to get caught with the little filly. Carl just laughed! This was before BL found out about his new girlfriend but after the split. BUSTED!

  4. A few mailboxes have been destroyed in the neighborhood. I know there isn't anything to do in our little town, but come on! Mailboxes are so innocent. They just stand there. They don't do anything to anybody! Why mess with them? At least it isn't the neighborhood animals, eh?

That's all the gossip I have for now. I'm sure there will be more in the future.

You really are the 'go to girl' I feel badly for the bearded lady, too, but.....SHE HAS A BEARD! That's not like being unattractive...That's...well, like you said, circus ugly. I hope that things work out for her.
Sounds like lots of scary things happening in your hood. Thank goodness yu've got Carl AND your big watch dogs!

That is definately scary what happened to the high school girl. Imagine if she had come home to an empty house. I shudder to think what could have happened.

WELL...thanks for the gossip! ;)

What happened to the high school girl was always one of my biggest fears. And my dad doesn't have a gun. Though the house does have a handy dandy alarm system. Glad to hear she's ok.

Someone bashed our mailbox too. Maybe they were visiting Savannah!
