Your views on gay marriage
I don't get political on my blog. I don't like politics and definitley do not enjoy the arguments that come out of those discussions. I avoid conflict at all costs.
But this topic is close to my heart.
I am all for it.
I have an uncle and best friend that are both gay. My uncle doesn't have a partner but my BFF does. He and his partner have been together as long as Carl and I have... hear that? They are in a long-term, monogamous relationship and yet they do not share the same priviledges Carl and I have. That is WRONG. If my uncle were to find a partner I would want him to be able to marry that person. I would want him to be happy!
I am all for living and let live. I understand folks believe that marriage is supposed to be between a man and woman, but puh-leeze. People cannot control who they love and who am I to say who they love is wrong? If you are commited to a person, you should be allowed to marry that person. Period.
If God didn't want you to love a person of the same sex, then why did He give those feelings to people? Don't lay the "it's the devil" bs on me. These are feelings people, not a choice.
I just don't get it. Honestly. People deserve the right to be happy with who they love. Who am I to say they can't?
I'll leave comments open - for now. I don't have the readers I used to so I'm not expecting many responses. But I WILL turn off comments if people start talking politics. This is a question I was asked and I gave my opinion. I do NOT want to debate it. Thanks for understanding.

I agree with you.
I think it's strange how angry people sometimes get at the idea of gay marriage. It makes me wonder what it is they are so afraid of.
Bravo - well said! Not to ruin my answer, but I agree 100% - I am also stealing your disclaimer for when it is my turn. :) - It is not up to debate for me.
Thanks Marni. [I still think you are in a lot more danger over the Oprah thing tho'. heeeheeee]
