2008 book list

I've decided to steal an idea from Lulu in regards to my reading habits.

I have hard time remembering all of the books I read. I have stacks of books all over the house and usually am reading a couple of them at a time. Once I'm finished with them I will either put them in a cabinet in our dining room or stick them in a drawer. After a while I will find a stack and can't really remember if I've read them or not.

So for 2008 I am going to list the books I read on the right side of my blog and link to them on Amazon so you can check them out if you wish.

Unlike Lulu, I don't think I'll get any money if you purchase the books (not sure how that works) but I'd love to hear from you if you read any of them.

I noticed you read the latest Sherman Alexie. What did you think?

I really liked it... it was "young adult" which was interesting. he was very funny and entertaining and heart breaking.

AND ... he sang Kiss' "Beth" to me.

His novels and short stories are great, if you're interested in learning about life as a moder-day Native American.

It's only January 9th and you've already read 3 books?!?

Gee, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Last year was the first year that I kept track of what I read. I think it was over 50 books. Some were big heavy novels, some were children's and Young Adult. I read some non-fiction too.

I have a list on my sidebar too, of what I'm currently reading. I might sign up for that Amazon program too!

I gave up on trying to keep what I am reading on my blog. I read too fast to keep it up.

Since the new year I have read 1-6 of the Stephanie Plum books, The Kite Runner, and Sue Grafton's T for Trespass.

The T book is out! OMG! Must get to the store...

Wasn't Kite Runner wonderful?

Kite Runner was excellent. I read it in an afternoon because I could not put it down.

Yes, T is out after a 2 year wait. It's a good one, too.

This is a cool idea...I don't read as much as I should...but we don't have a library that is less than an hour away and I can't afford to buy books...so I settle for reading blogs...lol.
