Hee hee. That's a good one.
My sis-in-law and I rented a belly-dancing DVD from the library, and started "to excercise". Our 5 girls were looking at us like we were crazy. By the end of the video, they were very into it!!! Crazy, huh??
OMG. You have just brought back awful memeories for me!
My mom (mission Mary, not Betty) was a very skilled belly dancer. She won awards and her photo published in the paper a couple of times.
Anyway, she used to drag that blasted costume (and the castinettes) out when I had a boyfriend over. (shudder). I'm talking about freaking out your kid when she is 30, never mind a kid! Although, she did that to me when I was a kid, too.
Mind you, I would do it to my kids. Aren't I awful?
I bet that you'll rock!
They were SO embarrassed! I told them "I'm going to go to your school for a performance or anything... but I think I'm going to dress like Jasmine for Halloween!" I thought their eyes would bulge out of their heads...
Thanks for thinking I'll rock. I am REALLY excited about it! I love to dance, so to learning something new is going to be a blast.
Ooops - that was supposed to be I'm NOT going to your school..."

I took some classes. You'll love it, Marni. Bellydancing is a lot of fun!
