We took the kids to see Transformers yesterday afternoon. One word:
Awesome
I don't like Michael Bay at all. I think he is an obnoxious, full of himself, arrogant, self-centered little toad. BUT I guess you can be if you make a movie like that!
The effects? Amazing. The fight scenes? Breathtaking. The cars and actors? Beautiful. I fell in love with a freakin' yellow Camaro (and the new model is HOT I tell ya!) and a red, white, and blue 18-wheeler! Optimus Prime rocks!
It has been a long time since I've been in a movie where people were cheering and clapping and it was appropriate! I even caught myself whooping a time or two.
oops.

I am DYING to see TRANSFORMERS! Unfortunately, Shawn has just left town, and I promised to wait for him to see it.
SIGH.
I have 3 free passes burning a hole in my pocket, too. Just seems unfair.
So, it was really that good? I can't wait to see it!
The Teenager really like it too. I don't have time for fun like movies right now. 2 days until the wedding! I'll chat at ya when I get back from my HONEYMOON!
Is it ok to take a 5-1/2 and 2-1/2 year old to it? They are HUGE fans of the toys and the old 80s cartoon movie.
They've seen "violent" movies before (i.e. Star Wars, Indiana Jones).
Valerie: they would love the movie BUT there is some talk about masturbation and also kissing/making out; plenty of sexual innuendo. If you think that will go right over the boys' heads then take them... if they will get it and ask lots of questions, be prepared. I had to explain the "Sam's personal time" to J-man in the middle of the movie. :)
