Chemically enhanced sleep

I haven't been sleeping well lately. I'm not sure why... could it be:
  • I haven't heard a fricken' thing about the possible job
  • my son is about to go into middle school and I am SO afraid for him
  • my hubby's job is so dangerous that I worry about him constantly
  • I haven't heard a fricken' thing... already said that one - sorry
  • we have bills to pay
  • my car needs tires
  • my hubby's truck needs tires
  • I have two kids in braces - phase ONE mind you
  • I need a vacation
  • what color do I want to paint our room, the bathroom, the living room, the kitchen
  • where are we going to get the cash to pay for the paint
  • I need a hair cut
  • when does Lost begin
  • when is the next installment of Survivor and what type of people will be on it; who will win
  • when will Taylor Hicks' CD come out
  • what happened to Rueben and Fantasia
  • will my new book be as good as the last one I read
  • I have GOT to get the boys to the vet
  • they also need their nails clipped
  • blah, blah, blah

With those thoughts running through my head constantly I have been going to sleep around 11 and waking up at 5. Sounds pretty good, huh? Well, that doesn't count waking up every hour on the hour and staring at the clock. I roll over and begin mulling over the same ol' crap.

Carl finally got worried about me -- only because my flipping and flopping kept HIM awake most of the night. He suggested I get some chemical help. I took two Tylenol PM last night... I slept... really slept. I don't remember reading the numbers on the clock at all last night.

Could it be?

I don't feel like I'm walking in a fog with cement shoes. I am alert and in a pretty decent mood. I could get used to this! I don't want to get "hooked" on the PMs - my liver couldn't handle it, but maybe once a week? Is that too much to ask?

I need a new supply of Tylenol PM. These days (nights?) I sleep from 1-3 a.m. and 5-7 a.m. Not quite enough sleep, even for me.

I love my PM... I'm too scared to do Lunestra or the other sleep stuff.

Glad you got some sleep, sounds like you really needed it. PM's are good for that and they aren't addicting. Might save some money if you don't want the tylenol part by just getting generic benadryl, same ingredient, read the labels.

I may need to try some of that. I'm also going through the flipping and flopping phase. (But that's mostly because I'm a night owl, and I do this every summer vacation like an idiot.)

I'm sorry you've got a list of worries running through your head. I know your pain at being broke, broke, broke. Sorry!

Put those kids to work! (Just kidding) I have been tossing and turning lately as well, it might be the atmospheric pressure!!! I need to start back walking, that seems to help.
