Carl, the kids, and I went to the mall yesterday to finish up our shopping. We didn't have a whole lot to do so we wound up window shopping and people watching.
At one point we were on the escalator heading up to the second level. Carl turned around and said, "Uh oh... we didn't go in the bookstore. Do you want to head back down and go?"
I said, "Nah. I don't need any new books now. I've got plenty."
I swear I thought his eyes were going to bug out of his head. And I thought he would never turn back around to watch where he was going. I just knew he was going to fall on his butt when we got to the top of the escalator.
He said, "WHAT? YOU don't want to go to the bookstore?"
I said, "No. I've got plenty to read. Plus I need to read the next book for my book club, but I wouldn't mind going in."
We didn't go back. It's the time of year to think of others.
But good grief I want a new book. BAD.
Zesty.

Book need is a powerful force. How's your library? I've spent way less money on books since my bride started working there.
I guess there are worse things to be addicted to than books!
I CAN'T belive that you passed up an opportunity to go into a bookstore!!!
I LOVE the book store! ANY book store. We have two really cool used book stores here in town that I can just spend hours in.
Nothing like a good book!
I have to stay away from bookstores or else I'd buy up the whole store. My most recent downfall has been supersaver shipping from Amazon.com. You can get free shipping if you spend $30 or something like that. This works great for my bookclub because I can buy several bookclub books at a time plus an additional 1 or 2 for myself. That's the downfall part.
I love a good book store too, they're hard to pass up.
It's hard for me to turn down a new book. I probably need therapy!
