Tomorrow?

It has been such a roller coaster week. One minute J-man is doing great and the next he is crying for pain medication. It is insane... and I will be so happy when this is a distant memory.

Today they turned off his epidural and are removing his catheter. That will make him feel a little better, but he is nervous about how it will feel. I keep telling him the worst is over, but I don't think he believes me. When his legs start hurting he gets this look on his face... like "why did this happen?!"

He's a trooper though.

And the doctor said he may get to go home tomorrow! Can you believe it? I, for one, am not ready for it, but I think he will be more comfortable away from nurses and needles and noise.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. If we don't go home tomorrow then it will definitely happen on Saturday.

Are you guys gonna have to lift him in and out of bed, and bathing and stuff???

I knew that J-man was going to eventually undergo surgery, but because my work load as been so stressful of late I have not had the energy to check up on my favorite blogs, of which yours and your Dad's are two. I am pleased and thankful that the young man came through the surgery without complications and I pray that he heals quickly and completely. He made the wise decision to address his problem while he is young and his body is strong. I go in for my heart procedure this coming Tuesday. I too am praying that it will be nothing more than a look around and then home for supper. I wish your entire family God's blessing and protection.

Poor baby!

Is the pain medicine reducing the pain to a tolerable level?
