We had an awesome time down in Tybee/Savannah this weekend. Met up with Klee and her family for lunch and a guided tour; Klee, JF and Offspring were fantastic tour guides (and free!). We walked and walked and walked... they told us the truth about stories from around Savannah... and we got to see the beautiful gazebo where they got married. We stopped for something to drink at one point and wound up getting ice cream and milkshakes (you don't need no damn ice cream!!!).
Carl and I ate at a haunted restaurant AND did a Ghosts and Gravestones tour. It was a blast!
I took tons of pictures and will post them as soon as I get my regular computer back from the computer hospital. But in the meantime I want to tell you about an experience I had at Tybee Lighthouse and Museum.
Across from the lighthouse (which is beee-you-ti-full!!!) there is a fort. Inside the fort is the Tybee Museum and, like you will find in any museum, there are tons of artifacts and stories about Tybee.
At one point you can go up a set of stairs (about 14 in all) and go to the top of the fort. From there you can view miles of ocean and the lighthouse. I have pictures... I'll show them some day...
Anyhoo...
We came to this particular set of stairs and the door was closed. I was ahead of Carl so I said I would go see if the door was unlocked so we could go out. Carl waited at the bottom of the stairs and I headed up. Just as I was putting my hands on the door handle I felt someone grab my butt. I turned around and said "Stop it, Carl!" but he was still at the bottom of the steps. He looked at me kind of confused and said "I didn't DO anything!" I said, "You didn't just grab my a$$?" to which he replied "And how would I do that? I can't even reach you!"
It was true... he was waaaay out of arms reach.
Yes, I do believe I was goosed by a ghost.
oops.
