What does that mean? According to Philip Pullman who wrote The Golden Compass (and the movie is coming out on December 7), dæmons are animal spirits that are physical manifestations of the soul.
You can go to goldencompassmovie.com and click on "Meet your dæmon" to get one of your very own. You'll answer 20 short questions before being given a named animal.
My profile states that I am "modest, competitive, responsible, felixible and relaxed. You are therefore matched with a mouse dæmon." I don't know if I could consider myself relaxed these days, but it DOES make sense that my dæmon is a mouse... after all that has been my nickname forever!
BTW: this movie looks awesome! How cool would it be to ride on a Polar Bear?!!!!
