One of my quirks is that I must sleep with a fan; the room has to be cool and the fan has to point directly at my face. If I am too hot I cannot fall asleep or stay that way.
We have three fans in our room. One on my side of the bed, one on Carl's side and a ceiling fan above us. All three are on all the time.
Do you think that's weird?
Anyway...
My fan is about 3 feet away from the bed. It stands about 3 feet high and can oscilate. I never do that; it remains in one position. Always.
Why am I telling you this?
Because when I went to bed last night, the fan was in its normal position. I know it was because if I didn't feel the air I would have gotten up and moved it to where it needed to be.
When I woke up this morning, the fan was pointing at my feet.
If you move the fan head it makes a distinctive click-click-click noise. I didn't hear any clicks. I am a light sleeper and if it had clicked I would have heard it. Even if you pull up the button to make it oscilate, there is a popping sound. I heard nothing.
But the fan had moved.
Strange, huh?
oops.

Ceiling fans were one thing I didn't like about living in the south. I cannot have air blowing directly on me.
Do you drag your fan with you when you stat at other places?
You would die at my house, I don't have a single ceiling fan. I don't like the way they look so the single one that was in the house when we bought it was quickly replaced.
I don't take one with me... usually we stay at hotels so the noise of the a/c makes up for it. I don't sleep well, though.
I think the ceiling fans are ugly, too, but necessary in my house! :)
Ghosts??
Maybe... Mychael is my "ghost" I've mentioned before. I don't know if he did this or not.
lucky for us we dont have the same heat over here, well at least i dont think we do!
have a ceiling fan in the lounge but apart from that it's just open windows.
got to be Mychael he knows just how to get your attention, he just having a laugh!
Hmm, maybe it was the same guy who came in and cut some of my daughters hair?
And yes, it's weird that you sleep with a fan in your face. I would have the worst boogers ever if I did that.
I am the same about fans and air blowing directly on me. We have ghost problems, too.
If it is a ghost problem.................
Laurie: so that is what causes it?
Biddie: Not sure if it is... just freaked me out a little this morning.
It was the boogey man. Watch out!
Mychael is so cool. I wish he'd visit me.
KB requires a fan too. I prefer one, but if it isn't hot I don't HAVE to have one. Out new house doesn't have ceiling fans in the bedrooms, so we are stand fanning it too!
I was going to say, it seems like your friend Mychael was the culprit. Maybe he's just messing with you.
OMG, I can't do anything without moving air. I can't stand being in the car without air moving. My house has a fan in every room except my dining room and restrooms. I like the noise of an oscillating fan, and I like the breeze of any kind of fan. I'm just hot natured. I would much rather put more clothes on than be hot.
In the winter I keep the ceiling fan on. If I get too warm I have to put a let out.
Is it a Southern thing?
Mychael sounds like fun. I swear, I smell cigrette smoke all the time. When I first moved into my house I would go in the spare bedroom and the closet door would be open. I swear I think my father comes by often. The weird thing about that is we weren't close. However, it's one way to keep him on my mind.
