How freakin' good was last night's finale? I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. (except during all the commericals... can they cut that out puhleese?!)
It was up and down the whole night. One minute you are wanting to cry, or laugh, or scream, or... anything! It was what brought me to Lost and what will keep me coming back.
So...
- Who was in the casket? Who was so awful that no one would show up the his/her funeral and would upset Jack that much? Juliette?
- Did Kate wind up with Sawyer? She said "He'll be wondering where I am"
- I should have known it would be a flash-forward and not a flashback because of Jack's beard. I kept trying to figure out where he had time to grow it because it didn't fit with his earlier stories. (Gosh, I LOVE that show)
- I kept thinking about Ack-attack everytime Jack got teary-eyed and would giggle.
- I almost wet my pants when Tom "shot" Bernard, Jin and Sawyer. I, literally, could not breathe for a couple of minutes.
- The scene with Hurley and the van was AWESOME!
- One Lostie gone, but how many Others? Holy cow!
- Penelope (Penny!) showing up after the frequency jam is stopped. And yet Des still couldn't get to her.
- WHY did Charlie shut the door? I thought he was going to run out and grab one of the scuba suits. Does anyone else think that Des' vision was something else but Charlie thought it really was his destiny?
- Does Patchy EVER die? He's like a cat with nine freakin' lives!
- I almost yelled out loud when I saw Walt! He's gotten so tall, BUT what does he have to do with what is going on? Why did Locke see him of all people?
- Naomi's dead thanks to Locke
- What happened after they got home?
- Are they really going to get rescued next season? How far in the future was Jack's flash-forward?
- What happened to him once they got back? Why does he feel like they need to return to the island?
Sooooo many more things I want to say and discuss, but I have to be in a class all day today. I want to read Pop Candy and see what other comments folks leave here.
I am going to miss Lost over the next few months, but I recorded last nights ep. I'll definitely be watching it again. The show last night could have made a perfect big-screen movie; it was that good.

Agreed. It's going to be a long wait...
I knew Jin, Sayid and Bernard hadn't been killed yet because we hadn't seen the scene from the preview of them kneeling in the sand.
I'm thinking we'll only see flash-forwards from this point on, and they'll piece together the events following their rescue.
What about the scene where Jack was telling the chief surgeon to "go get my dad upstairs and see if he's more drunk than I am." Was he that whacked on meds...or does he find out who his real dad is during the next three season? Yeah, that theory is way out there, I know.
I absolutely loved the finale. I can't wait to see where they take the show next season.
Man I am going to have to NetFlix this series. I have missed all of them.
Pouts...
You wrote down a lot of the same thoughts I had...
I just can't say how much I love this show!
Your enthusiasm is awe inspiring Marni - truly, I admire you. I don't watch Lost, but you have me wishing I did...
You know the world would be a much nicer place if we could all be as enthusiastic for the simply good things in life as you are.
I mean that from the bottom of my Skippyheart.
HUGS!
I missed part of the finale...I wasn't sure what was going on with the flash forwards...
I LOVED that Hurley saved the day! Jessica actually cheered! We are hoping beyond hope that Charlie isn't dead....February, right?
Charlie had to shut the door. If the things in Desmond's flashes don't happen, the end result changes. Charlie knew his death was inevitable, but this time the end result was Claire and Aaron getting on a helicopter and leaving. Could he have escaped if he tried? Possibly, but he chose them instead.
Have you seen the various blown up pics of the obituary clipping? I'm that if it's anyone we know, they have a new name. If so, I'm voting Michael.
I haven't seen any clips... maybe I should look around.
I'm not sure that Des was telling Charlie the truth. He may have told him something different... I'm not sure why, but it is a sneaking feeling I have.
I can't wait until February!
