You like me!

Klee, the Reluctant Prophet, has awarded me a Thinking Blogger Award! How cool is that?

I met Klee right after I started blogging and am in love with her. (Not like that you pervs). She is the sweetest, funniest, coolest Southern Bell I know and I’m honored that she thought enough of me to consider me for this award.

The rules behind this Thinking Blogger Thing are as follows:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme

3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).

Klee specifically mentions this post as the one that made her think. We have both struggled with weight issues all our lives. I had surgery to help me; Klee hasn’t. I respect her reasons as to why. I did what was best for ME. She is doing all she can to do what is right for her. She knows that I am here to answer any questions and give her all the support in the WORLD if she decides to make the big jump!

Here are my submissions for Thinking Blogger Awards:

  1. Rockstar Mommy is a new addition to daily reads. She is SO freakin’ awesome and funny. She cusses like a sailor and has some pretty strong opinions. She wrote this about the Virginia Tech slayings and said all I wanted to say. She rocks! (no pun intended)
  2. I loved this post from Princess Banter about the difference between being alone and loneliness. One hopes that maturity teaches you the difference… this post explains it all.
  3. Ree, The Pioneer Woman, is one of my absolute favorite bloggers. She writes about life on a ranch, her kids, Ethel Merman, her retarded brother… I mean NOTHING is off limits. Her writing and photography are incredible and I would love to live like she does. Her series on Ranching History was fascinating. I looked forward to each and every post. Drop in on the Pioneer Woman. She is wonderful.
  4. If you’ve read my blog for any length of time you have seen Biddie hanging around. I love this Canadian girl. She has been through some pretty rough times in the year I’ve known her, but she hangs in there. This post was tough for her… yet cathartic. She has pulled herself up, and out, of this abyss. I am SO proud of her for that. She is a good mommy and a wonderful friend. I cannot wait to get to Canada to meet the whole clan (someday).
  5. Coaster Punchman is awesome! I love his wicked sense of humor, his stories of Mama Gin and George, and tales of his travels. Even his new job as Strategic Sales Executive is entertaining – to his readers. He does, however, have to deal with issues that I, as a straight, married woman cannot relate to. He is open, honest, and unforgiving in his opinions and I applaud him for that.

--------------------

These are my choices -- just a few of the many wonderful, deserving bloggers who help me get through my day. I am lucky, indeed, to be among such wonderful, talented, creative, and hilarious folk. And I hope, one day, to meet each and every one of them.

Thanks again to Klee for tagging me in the first place. You are a wonderful friend.

Trust me, everyone here knows how great you are. I was just the first one to point it out. (You know me -- I'm the loudmouth in the group!) :)

I'm glad to see that you are pleased by the award, and I can't wait to take some time and read your choices for Thinking Blogger awards!

ps -- I think you're pretty cool yourself. :)
