This weekend was pretty busy. We had soccer games -- which both teams won! YAY! -- and Carl and I ran a lot of errands. We even bought some new patio furniture! I'll take pictures and post another time...
Anyhoo ---
Bug has a teammate that has two little brothers -- Isaac (who is 3) and Nolan (who is about 1 1/2). These two little boys have latched themselves onto J-man because he will play with them during practice or games. J-man has always been really good with kids and they tend to migrate to him wherever we go.
Because Isaac and Nolan hang around J-man so much, they have gotten to know me and Carl pretty well, too. These are two of the cutest little boys you have ever seen. And they are ALL boy. They are rambunctous, curious, and full of energy. They love to tackle and be tackled. They can even wear J-man out -- and that says A LOT!
So this weekend, Isaac decided he wanted to hang with me and Carl during Bug's game. He would sit in my lap, ask me questions, and play with my coffee mug. He would ask Carl questions about his freckles and then try to steal his hat. We had a great time.
At one point, Isaac was sitting in my lap and turned to face me. He started tickling my throat and said, "Yoo coppee in yoo froat?"
I said, "Yes. My coffee was in my throat."
I: (rubbing my stomach) "Yoo coppee go in yoo bell-wee"
M: "Yep. My coffee went in my belly."
I: (putting his hand between my legs): "Yoo gonna go pooooop?"
M: (grabbing that little hand and blushing): "Yes, Isaac, eventually I will have to go poop!"
I am SOOOO glad I don't have a three year old anymore! I had forgotten just how honest and unashamed they can be.
oops.

Ha ha ha!!!! That's hilarious, epspecially if you aren't the one being embarrassed by the child.
I love little kids for their honestly. Kayla once told her great aunt that she had a big bum.
I could've died, but her aunt just laughed. She was 3 then, too.
Yeah... I forgot to mention that Isaac kept telling me what HUGE legs I had. His mom is stick-thin so he was fascinated at how big my legs were. I just asked him, "It sure makes a comfy place to sit though!" He said "Yeah" and climbed back onto my lap.
Gotta love 'em!
just love kids with their honesty, they are always sure to fetch a smile to your face and cheer up the bleakest days
Go ahead and have them. I will answer their questions for ya and love doing it. Have them, ya hear? Me and Sweet Tea (MeMaw) are waiting.
NO! And quit asking. It ain't gonna happen.
LOL!
That is cute!
Hahaha lovely -- and yes, brutally honest to the point of shame! It's funny seeing a parent trying to shush a 3-yr-old child, with flustered cheeks and eyes that say "oh my dear life!" Priceless!
You have to be three to ask that? I really need to grow up ...
Oh lawd!
(my interview questions are up)
you see, try that at my age and you tend to get arrested!
no charges brought.
