1. What is it about pugs that you love so much? Pugs were bred by the Chinese to be lap dogs for Royalty; they are lazy. Like me. Seriously, though. What's not to love? They are super snuggly. They have fat, warm little bodies that like to be next to you at all times. They have sweet, funny personalities; they are super at making you laugh. My boys look like little old men, and have the most honest, open expressions. I can read them like a book.
When Carl first mentioned getting a pug I was hesitant. I didn't know if I would like the flat-faced, bug-eyed, rotund little guys, but now I wouldn't have any other breed. I even love to hear them snore -- and they do it so well!
2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would have to say the ability to heal (myself or others). Because then I wouldn't have to go to medical school and I would be a kick-ass surgeon!
3. Why is it that southern folk fry everything? Do they really eat collard greens? (Technically, this constitutes two questions, but I can see how they go together... ahem.) We Southerners love our lard. We will dip anything in a hot skillet of grease and fry it up. If you have never had fried squash, you should. It is heaven. Believe it or not, just the other day I had some fried PICKLES. They were, oh my gosh, to die for!
And collard greens? Yes, we really do eat them. As a matter of fact, every Thanksgiving my step-grandmother makes a mess of them (another Southern term) just for ME! I love. love. love collards. The only downfall? They turn your poop green.
4. What is one futuristic idea from sci-fi (like flying cars or teleporters) that you would like to see actually created? I want Rosie from the Jetsons. She cooks, cleans, watches the kids.... she does it all. AND I wouldn't have to pay her or feed her. Just make sure she has enough oil to keep her wheels turning and an outlet to charge her up. Sweet!
5. If you were awarded a shopping spree at one store, what would you like it to be and why? Hmmmm... good one. The first thing that popped in my head is Pier One. I don't know how, or like to, decorate. It would be nice to be able to go into that store and say "I need my living room decorated" and BOOM it is all there in one place.... furniture, knick-knacks, pictures, etc. For clothes though, I would have to say Bloomingdales. I would NEVER be able to afford anything from there myself, so it would have to be some sort of award to get me in there. I walked through one the other day and it even smelled expensive. I was scared.
If you're interested in doing this as well, here are the rules:
- Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me!”
- I will respond by e-mailing you five questions (if your email is not on your profile, email me your desire to be interviewed so I know your address).
- I get to pick them, and you have to answer them all.
- You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
- You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
- When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Ready, spaghetti?

Interview me.
You know, while I love all sorts of Southern food. There were some things that growing up in the South did not cause me to like. Collard greens and black-eyed peas. I just have never been able to figure out what the attraction is with either of those. Now, I still ate my black-eyed peas every New Year, but I never enjoyed them.
I love fried pickles, too. Also amazing: fried corn on the cob.
Interview me - I dare you
Oooh, a dare! YAY!

Interview me.
It's my first and last name (all together) @bellsouth.net. I guess I should add another e-mail other than my whole name.
I think about you everytime I see a pug.
This a great idea! I would love to be interviewed, but I loathe to think of coming up with my own questions....
Yeah, Bid. I'm having a tough go of it. :)
Loved reading your answers.
