Back to the grind

Can I tell you how hard it was to get up this morning? It was BAD. Being off for 10 days without an alarm clock was glorious. Then this morning - at 4:45 - that darn buzzing. I didn't know whether to cuss or cry. I just wanted to snuggle back down in the covers and continue my dream about Toby Keith.

Oh well.

I'm back at work. I'm putting away all the Christmas cards and turning my calendar over to January -- 2007! Holy cow -- 2007. The year I turn 40. I used to think that was old.

Stop. Can't think about that. Must count my blessings that I have family, friends, a job, a home, a car and my health. My kids are healthy. My husband is wonderful. What more could a girl ask for?

Rambling? Yeah. You could say that. Putting off the inevitable.

Work.

Yuck.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I missed talking to you and reading your blogs. I have a lot to catch up on! Anything exciting happen to anyone?

I wrecked Carl's new truck! Yep. At Target. Thought I had enough clearance to get into the parking space.

Nope.

Dented the car's bumper. Not too bad, though. Went in the store to page the owner and talk to the manager. By the time we got back out there -- she was gone. Oh well. I tried to do the right thing. Carl's truck just has a few scratches... he says it "adds character". I didn't want it to get character until it was at least a month old!

Anyhoo.... gotta go now. Darn it.

Work.

Yuck.

Ugh. 4:45 is an an ungodly hour. I used to get up at 4:30 when I was at the nursing home. (working, not living!) After a few weeks of that, 6:30 is like sleeping in!
Too bad about the truck. Thankfully, it's just a scratch, and nobody was hurt.
I loved your Christmas card, by the way. I'm keeping it up just a little while longer.

Ok, I officially will attempt to stop complaining about what time I have to wake up. 4:45 is crazy! Hopefully the day isn't too busy to drive you nuts, but busy enough to keep you awake.

I go back tommorrow, and I'm NOT looking forward to it. :( Plus, I'm sick, which makes it even more of a drag, but at least it's a kids-free day.

Sorry you dinged the truck! At least you tried to do the right thing! (Some jerk dinged my door when my Element was about three weeks old. Made me so mad! And, now I still get a little miffed every time I look at that door ding. Harumph!)

Yikes, 4:45 is still the middle of the night!! Sorry about the truck, but at least you tried to do the right thing.
I'm right there with you turning 40 this year. But I refuse to be sad about it, I'm going plan a fantastic birthday bash.

You must do something HUGE for you birthday. When I turne 40, me and 16 of my friends went to Las Vegas. And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas (unless I decide to tell on myself one of these days - there's at least one good story).

So how much earlier are you getting up than before? And "wait a minute", how did you get 10 days off? You haven't been there long enough. Must be nice. Are you sure you don't want to come back? I think your desk just needs the cob webs cleared.

4:45 is a terrible time to have to get up!! Especially if it messes up a Toby dream!! Those are my favorites!!! I enjoy your blogs!!
