We are still working on the bugs in Bug's hair. Yes... it has been about a month. Yes... they are still there. Not as bad, mind you, as in the beginning, but still. friggin. there.
We don't check her hair every night like we were. We are down to every third evening. For about an hour. We don't fuss or argue. We just get in the bathroom and do it. Tonight I only found 15 babies. We've named the stages of these things... babies, teenagers, and adults. For those of you that have had these nasty things you will know what I'm talking about.
Babies = eggs or nits**. They look like bubbles on her hair. I use my fingernails and scrape them off. Gross...
Teenagers = a little larger and live on the shaft of her hair. Nasty.
Adults = creepy crawlers with legs that run from you... extra nasty.
Haven't seen any adults in weeks - hallelujah. I think we got rid of them after the first application of Tea Tree Oil (a shout out to Biddie for that one!) Nor have we seen any teenagers. We are down to just the babies. I hate those little shits. I'll be SOOOO happy when they are gone.
Now aren't you glad you read this? You have had your head bug education.
**We have a weather man down here named Brad Nitz... I can't watch the news when he is on. And don't use the term "nit-picking" around me. Ever. Again.
Zesty.

Brad Nitz? and Nit picking....oh holy....bwahahaha...
I am not laughing at your misfortune sweetie...just at how you can find a sense of humor in all of this.
I found an electric razor instead. Seriously.
Hugs and good job!
Thanks! It has been a chore, but I think we have a handle on it. If I didn't laugh I would cry!
I didn't mention, shame on me...that has to be the cutest kid I have ever seen....she is a dollbaby. wow! nice job Mom & Dad!
[one puppy look and I would be in line for Butterscotch]
Poor little Bug. I know what a chore it is. I do. Just keep at it. Keep laughing. Keep smiling. It helps. ( and when all else fails, remember Joe Dirt, and thank the stars that she's not in Bug's class).
Well, I'm pushing away my lunch plate now ...
