Beth over at A Cup of Coffey has asked all her blogger friends to post a school picture of themselves on October 1 for the first ever Little Miss Sunshine Online Pageant.
This is my first grade school picture. It is truly scary how much Bug and I look alike. She saw this picture and said "Who is that?!" When we told her it was me, she grinned and hugged me. Then she said "Oh, we're sisters!" Love that chick!
Could I actually have one of the original mulletts? And this handsome young man is my dad (and Beth's uncle) - you can find him over at the Coffeypot. He is new to the blogger world and hasn't quite figured out how to post pictures. I wanted him in the pageant so, as a good daughter should, I volunteered to do it for him.
I'm not sure what grade he is in, but doesn't he look like a typical kid from the 50's?I am off to view everyone else's pictures! Beth has a list of contestants, so head to her site to view all of the lovely fashions of "the day". This is a blast!

Great pics! I love the first grade missing teeth thing. Eating corn on the cob was so fun back then, right?? And yes, your dad looks like he should be in the television audience at the "Howdy Doody Show!"
People pay a lot of money to get hair that color. What a cute picture! A reminder of when all you wanted for Christmas was your 2 front teeth!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments, especially for my beautiful daugher. She got it from me. Oh! And by the way. If you think the ears are funny you shoud see them when I am facing a heavy wind. They get to flapping so much I believe that is the reason for my dane brammage. But I can hear a gnat fart from 2 miles away.
