The guys are watching the homerun derby - yawn. I grab Bug and we head to the QT for our coffee run; she LOVES the vanilla cappachino drink from there and I grab a cup o' decaf joe.
Lately, Carl has been partaking in QT's milkshakes during his nightly patrols. (Could that be the reason for his buddah belly, hm?) Bug and I grab a couple for her dad and brother. We pay. We head out the door.
I place my coffee in the holder and one of the shakes in the cupholder in the back. We have a convertible and only have 4 holders - 2 in front; 2 in back. I ask Bug to do the same while I throw away some water bottles. As I walk away from the trashcan I hear a wail and "I'm sorry, mommy! I'm sorry!" I look in the back and low-and-behold chocolate milkshake, and entire cupful, in my floorboard.
I'm not going to be PC and say I was nice about it. I got angry. Very angry. I didn't cuss - much. We went back in the store and they were grateful enough to let us -- I mean her -- get another milkshake while I went back out to the car with a coffee cup and napkins to clean up the mess. It took a good 10 minutes to get it scraped into the cup and then wiped up to where the car is presentable again. Luckily, the interior is tan so the milkshake blends right in. I just need to clean the carpet now...
Bug, however, learned a big lesson. Put your coffee down first before trying to manuever a cup into the back seat. I told her I still loved her as she was crying big ol' crocodile tears. We kissed and made up. It's all good again. I just hope my car doesn't smell like chocolate milkshake in the morning...
Zesty.

Fortunately, no. The carpet just looks a little prickly.
Are you sure you don't need to see a doctor for that?
There are worse things your car could smell like!
I remember once when Offspring was small, she was given a sip of forbidden Coke through a straw from the front seat. The straw had to bend to make it to her mouth, and when she let go -- a nice streak of coke splattered all over the roof of my car. Couldn't get it out for love nor money.
Now I have a Honda Element, and I love it because the floor is all PVC, so if I spill something, I just wipe it up, and we're done. Makes it good, since I'm a freakin' slob.
Me thinks I need one of those!
