Just got home from J-man's last baseball game of the season. He didn't do too well. Bless his heart - he's not the most athletic kid. (I'd NEVER tell him that!), but if you could go to the major league on heart, he would be MVP! He has taken a step or two backwards this year; he steps out of the batter's box on just about every pitch, he barely swings the bat, and he can't catch a fly ball to save his life. That doesn't deter him, though! He cheers for his team louder than anyone else and he is the first in line to give high fives when someone else runs in.
I'm proud of him. I wish I could be just like him. He worries about how much trouble he will be in at the end of the game, but it doesn't deter him from playing like he wants/needs to play.
I may never get to retire with help from his baseball earnings, but that is OK. We'll just take him to the batting cages and encourage him in whatever he decides to do. He'll be fine.
Plus - he is REALLY cute in a baseball uniform! :)

Let's see some photos of him in his uniform! I always loved the kids on the team with heart. I hope he had fun this season.
