He and I are heading back to Greenville tomorrow to see the doctor and possibly schedule the surgery to remove the plates.
I'm not as nervous about this surgery as I was the first. Makes sense... this one will not be as invasive. He'll be able to walk a day or two after it is over; no wheelchair for six weeks. Plus the kid has been through the worst of it and come out the other end like a champ.
He amazes me on a daily basis. Even though there are some days I could rip his head off and beat him with it.
Ahem
Carl has to work so J-man and I are taking this journey alone. (Bug is going to Coffeypot's) It will be some good bonding time with my boy. I think it will be nice to devote all of that attention on him. He is 13 and goodness knows he thinks he knows everything, but I still want him to know how much his mama loves him. We'll have us a good talk and a few laughs.
I honestly can't wait.

I hope everything goes great!
Together time - treasure it while you can! My best wishes to J-man!
He continue to amaze me, just as you did at his age, with his strenght and courage, his humor and how smart he really is. He's just like his PawPaw.
I hope that everything goes well with the doc and the impending surgery.
Thirteen is a funny age..They know everything and want to be so grown up, buut they really need their mama, too.
Have a great time with your boy :)
Hope everything goes well. I'm sure you two will have a great time.
Together time is nice since they grow up so fast. Hoping all is well at the doctor's visit!
I'll be praying for him AND You.
Are ya taking Punkin and One-eyed Jack with you :-)
