A little tour

I honestly do not know where to start to tell you about my night with the Atlanta Ghost Hunters. So much happened and there are so many details. I want you to know EXACTLY how it felt and what went down, but I don't think I'll be able to do it justice. You had to be there. I'm hoping AGH will post some of the video and audio we captured, and when they do I'll post right to it.

For tonight, let me give you a quick tour of the house. I didn't get very many pictures because my FULLY-CHARGED camera died within 20 minutes of arriving at the house. That was my first sign that it was going to be an interesting night.

The house is a nice size Victorian home. It is located off a main road going through town and is notorious for being haunted. It was divided into apartments during the 70s and early 80s and then abandoned. When the owners purchased the home, it was actually a crack house. We talked to a former, angry resident - a dead one.

They have put a lot of money into the house but don't think they will ever recoup it... but they don't care. They love the home - and the spirits that reside within its walls.

Below is my girlfriend, Leah, walking thru one of the rooms near the middle of the home. In a prior investigation, AGH caught an evp that said the owner's son's name -- TWICE. He won't come back in the house. This is the only room that Leah and I did not investigate... we were enthralled in the activity in the attic.

This room is where we had our conversation with the smoke detector! HA! It is at the front of the house but the window you see looks out the side. This is JB's room - the builder of the home and a former mayor of the town. We talked to him while in the attic, and we think we captured an evp of him while we were in the room.

These are the steps that lead upstairs. To the right is the quarantine room - 4 year old Ralph Dickson died in that room... we talked to him while in the attic as well.

Directly across the hall from the quarantine room is another bedroom. A family member of the Dickson's came to visit once... within a few days she got sick and passed away in that room. People have also seen a little girl looking out the window in that room -- we talked to her, too.

This is the quarantine room. Of course, as Andy (the leader of AGH) stated, it didn't have a wet bar back in the day. The owners tried to live here, and are thinking about moving back in, but as it is today you can rent the house for functions.

This was our control room. (I love the color). There are two closets in here -- you can see one of them. The daughter of the owners told us that they used to open and close on their own. Her bed also used to shake in the middle of the night. Ralph told us it was him trying to play with her.

And this is the attic. Behind me is a room with only a couch. The room I'm in was supposed to become a walk-in closet and the room beyond is where the owners had established their master bedroom.

This was THE most active room in the house and the location of pretty much everything that happened.

Look closely thru the doorway. See that black box? It has a tea cup sitting on top of it and it is turned upside down (like you are telling a waitress you do not want coffee). That is how we communicated with all the spirits. Leah, myself, the owner of the home, Andy and his wife were the first in the room and the first to use this unconventional communication device.

It worked.

It was a trip.

It will be the topic of my next post.

This sounds SO AWESOME...I love the teacup communication. And wow, a LOT of people died in this house didn't they?

Totally off topic - that yellow room? We had our MBR painted that color before we moved - it is great being married to a color blind man when your fav' color is yellow ;)

I can't wait to hear about the tea cup being used to communicate. We did the pendulum, and dowsing rods along with the voice recorder

I can't wait to hear more about communicating with an upside-down coffee cup.

Ok, now I won't be able to sleep tonight! Sometimes I think people live in my walls and they are watching me! Will sleep with a light on tonight since my daughter is at her boyfriend's.

I'm sorry. I'm too much of a scaredy cat to read this post. I'm glad you had a good time though!

I was here already and left a comment - I have no idea what is going on here!
I am soo envious of your session! I laughed out loud when you wrote about the red light! I guess it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all :)
