I don't usually get into mob-type movies, but thought I would try it anyway.
I was NOT disappointed.
From imdb.com: When a Las Vegas performer-turned-snitch named Buddy "Aces" Israel decides to turn state's evidence and testify against the mob, it seems that a whole lot of people would like to make sure he's no longer breathing.
This movie was chock full of celebrities. Ray Liotta, Alicia Keys, Ryan Reynolds, Jeremy Piven, and Ben Affleck to name a few. The action is fast paced and shocking in some scenes.
My favorite characters were the Tremor brothers... think bad guys from Mad Max.
Alicia Keys was drop-dead gorgeous as a hit-woman, Ben Affleck had a schmarmy 70's look and Nestor Carbonelle (Richard from Lost!!) was awesome as his crazy, killer character. There are many other folks I could tell you about, but I don't want to ruin it. Just know that there are several people out to kill Buddy Aces and they don't know about each other... until it is too late.
The movie is FULL of raunchy language and violence; it isn't one you can watch with kids in the room. It isn't a love story or sexy movie. It is a let's-get-the-rat-before-anyone-else-does-and-take-the-money-that-is-on-his-head. And the twist at the end is awesome.
Rent it.

Good review! I wanted to see it in the theaters, but it didn't last long here. I'll have to rent it.
