I started the new job. What am I doing? Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
That's OK.
My computer is working. I have email. I can get on the internet. I even have instant messenger! What else could a girl ask for?
I'll be busy soon enough. There are some bugs to work out from the company's IT side. I'm not being "recognized" in their system. I'm OK with that. Kind of overwhelmed at the moment. New faces... new building... new systems...
Whew...
Zesty.

Thinking about you and wishing you well on your first day at the new job!
Let me know how it goes. How was the commute?
And I need your new e-mail address ...
Yep...need your new e-mail. It was much easier when I could just get up and go to the other side of the floor.
I know leaving was a difficult decision, but I think you were bored and under-utilized...change is a good thing. I wish it could have just been a new department, but everything happens for a reason. Good luck, I'll be keeping up with you one way or another.
One more thing I wanted to mention. You only missed the 20% by one paycheck...maybe you'll get it with Fridays paycheck. I'll try to get you one if they you don't get it but they were handing them out, not letting you get your own.
You should feel real important - I mean they must have really wanted you if you started and you actually had a PC at your desk. Gosh, you'd think working for the IT group at one of the largest companies in Georgia - they could at least have a computer ready for you when they have 2 weeks notice. Not at your previous employers.
