Isn't it ironic?

I'm supposed to be in a class right now. This class lasts from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today. I went to the room at 8:45 -- not a soul is there nor is the classroom set up. I look at the room roster and it says a different class has that room today. Confused, I call the lady that sets up the classes. She isn't in.

I go back to my desk - which is a 15 minute treck thanks to the elevators. I double-check the location, time and date of the class. Yep. I have it all correct. I head back down to the class just in case everyone is running late. It is now somewhere around 9:05 or 9:10. "Great" I think, "I'm going to be the one... the one that gets dirty looks because you disrupt the all important introduction." Oh, well. No biggie. I'm trying, right?!

I get back to the classroom. Guess what?! Not a soul! I give up. I come back to my desk - another 15 fricken minutes - and call the class coordinator. Still no answer. I leave her a message to please place me on the roster for the next class and do NOT charge my department another $250. We'll see what happens next.

Oh yeah. The name of the class? Stress Management

Update: Went out to sign up for the next class. Glanced at the list of classes and noticed it -- the class I signed up for -- July 20, 2005. Yep... nominate me for the dumba$$ of the year. Go ahead -- laugh it up! I have been!

I hate it when I do stuff like this. Sadly, I do it all too often.

Sorry! Well, at least you're laughing about it!

Why would they still have the 2005 training calendar up? And why didn't the training group let you know that you registered for last year's class?
